We are currently experiencing a world where the human being and its fundamental needs are broken down to material necessities. The ‘economization’ and ‘globalization’ of everyday life is supplanting humanistic ideals. These ideals, however, have always been the foundation of a free, liberal and democratic world, focusing on human nature, law of nature and its potential in a holistic way.
Various groups are focusing on correcting this development, in research and in practice, but these groups are small and disconnected. Furthermore researchers with humanistic ally-driven research agendas often do not promote the application of their ideas in real world society.
We therefore feel a strong need for a network to foster communication among humanistic researchers and practitioners. To encourage real world applications of humanistic ideas, The Belizean American Expatriates Association hopes to identify the most practical and constructive ways to apply research in organizational practice.
As Coordinators we are working on management research projects that value and empower human beings in Life and the business setting. We strive to change society by changing the way we think the way businesses operates in relation to human needs and values.
We wish to encourage all parties interested in contributing to a more life-serving world to join us, not only to exchange ideas but to make change happen.
